About the Artist

About the artist

Born in Salvador, Bahia, and working between Brazil and Spain, Dedé Lins operates at the intersection of art and design, crafting geometric abstractions that draw from architecture, urban art, and fashion. His work seamlessly blends digital and analog techniques, incorporating materials such as leather, aluminum, rubber, and wood to create visually striking compositions.

Rooted in minimalism, the Brazilian concrete art tradition, and African artistic influences, Dedé’s work has been exhibited in Brazil, Spain, the United States, Luxembourg, and Angola.
He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including: Utopias e Distopias at MAM-BA, Salvador; Streamline at Galería Zielinsky, Barcelona; Carpintaria para Todos at Fortes D’Aloia & Gabriel, Rio de Janeiro; Cor Apropriada at Galeria Arte Hall, São Paulo; Carrocerromen at Galería Sa Fabrica, Menorca; Festival del Nuevo Arte Brasileño – 5th edition at La Escocesa, Barcelona; and 101 Bibendum at Convent de Sant Agustí, Barcelona, among others.

He was an artist-in-residence in Angola during the II Trienal de Luanda, and in 2021 and 2022, he completed a residency at Piramidón – Centre d’Art Contemporani in Barcelona.
His works are part of prestigious collections, including those of MAM-BA (Museum of Modern Art of Bahia) and the National Museum of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro.
