Sergio Femar is a Spanish artist born in 1990 who lives and works between Galicia (Spain) and Germany.

Femar is a visual artist who approaches installation through painting and sculpture. His practice focuses on environmental concerns to capture them in his pictorial world. The starting point has its origin in nature's generative capacity and how it engenders and devours its own formations. That's why he seeks to capture nature's inherent capacity for creation and intent, which his practice is soaked in. He manifests this later in his work by dominating the space.

He graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Salamanca (2008-2013) with honors in Painting. Femar has been granted several artistic residencies during the last years: GlogauAIR Art Residency (Berlin, 2020), Plantage Dok - Kanaal10 Foundation (Amsterdam, 2021), Institut für Alles Mögliche (Berlin, 2022) or The Drake (Toronto, 2023).

His work has been exhibited individually in galleries such as Ginsberg+TZU (Madrid, 2024), Tourrette (Paris, 2023), KSTN Berlin (Berlin, 2023), Galerie Biesenbach (Cologne, 2022) or Víctor Lope (Barcelona, 2021), and Contemporary Art (Barcelona, 2021) among others.
